From our Scottish Thistle collection, this beautiful ring was designed based on the national flower of Scotland, decorated with a beautiful Amethyst stone.

For centuries, Thistles have been commonly found growing wild in rural areas all over Scotland and are particularly unique to spot with their bright purple heads and spiky leaves.

The ancient Scottish tale is that the Thistle became a national emblem after a battle in 1263AD when a Norse army failed their plotted night attack after their leader trod on a thorny Thistle, alerting the Scots with his yell!

Today, the Thistle still remains a proud image of honour for Scotland, with it’s recognised symbol and purple colour used everywhere, from the Scottish Rugby and Football team logos to the Police badge and other Scottish Business branding.
